CAT is concerned
with the search for globally sustainable, whole and ecologically
sound technologies and ways of life. CAT has a holistic approach
to its work, integrating ideas and practice relating to land use,
shelter, energy conservation and use, diet and health, waste management
and recycling. Through its resident community and work organisation,
CAT is also committed to the implementation of co-operative principles
and best achievable environmental practices.
Centre
for Sustainable Energy
The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a charitable company,
which was established in 1979. They provide a combination of skills
that brings together an understanding of national energy policy
with practical experience of delivering local and regional initiatives.
Their mission is to: 'Promote energy efficiency and sustainable
energy supply, alleviate fuel poverty, and advance sustainable energy
policy and practice at a local, regional and national level'. CSE's
education work seeks to encourage young people to motivate change.
They develop and deliver energy education projects tailored to meet
curriculum requirements and provide high-quality teaching and learning
resources in support of these projects.
CREATE
(Centre for Research Education and Training in Energy)
The role of CREATE is to co-ordinate and promote energy education
with the co-operation and support from organisations and institutions
involved in energy education. Their aim is to provide an effective
energy education for all by a collective approach to the development
of coherent and appropriate policies and resources.
